Automation
In automation and handling technology, coatings that increase friction, such as DIAGRIP, are an ideal solution for significantly increasing the transferable holding force of components such as grippers. Often, grippers or clamping devices either have too little surface area to securely handle components, or cannot apply the clamping force necessary due to the components’ sensitivity. Diamonds in the DIAGRIP coating help create a frictional, non-slip connection between the clamping device or gripper and the component. This ensures secure component handling and higher acceleration and delay torques for robotic arms and pickers/placers, even under harsh conditions. DIAGRIP coating systems are extremely durable in such applications, and can be reworked at any time.
OUTSTANDING CHARACTERISTICS OF CCT COATINGS:
+ Contour accurate coating, including of components with complex geometry
+ Complying with the smallest coating thickness tolerances
+ Homogeneous and reproducible solid material depositing
+ Very good corrosion resistance
CLAMPING SYSTEMS
Clamping systems such as those used in machine tools, often work based on a frictional connection principle. If this frictional connection fails, the clamped tool or component can slip unexpectedly. CCT – friction-enhancing coatings such as DIAGRIP – have been a trusted option for many years.

Development
In automation and handling applications, it is often a question of secure, non-positive gripping functions in connection with large acceleration and deceleration torques with limited contact areas at the same time. DIAGRIP layer systems are the problem solvers for this. Grippers, collets that are coated with DIAGRIP guarantee a safe, loss-proof handling process at high movement speeds. Components can be coated directly – also selectively, or doped with DIAGRIP foils.
